Calvin Crest has some great ways to relax and build community. The following activities are some of the most popular ways that guests and campers enjoy the grounds. They are divided into categories that include seasonal activities, facilitated activities and BYOE (bring your own equipment) activities.
Hiking
Hike the many trails that crisscross the 250 acres of Calvin Crest. We have more than 6 miles of maintained trails that go through a variety of landscapes including forests, river-front, fields and gravel roads. These trails are generally hilly, and offer plenty of wildlife and scenery. Maps are available upon request, or you can download one here. Bike and Hike Trails
Hammock Village
Victoria's Village is a great seasonal location to relax by yourself with a book or with friends. Twelve hammocks under a circus tent catch the breeze on a warm summer day. These hammocks are available during warm-weather months.
Mountain Biking
With over 6 miles of great single track, Calvin Crest boasts some of the finest Mountain Biking Trails around. These trails are open to the public (weather permitting). To find out more, please see the dedicated Mt. Biking page here, which includes a list of dates that the trails are closed and rules for their use.
Swimming
This summer favorite is available to groups who request it in advance. There is a fee for the use of the pool and generally requires lifeguard staff. For more information, please click here.
Campfires
No retreat is complete without a campfire. Several campfire sites are available for various sized groups. Benches, fire ring, firewood and fire starters are available for guest groups. S'more fixin's are available for an additional fee when requested in advance. Site availability is based on preference and group size.
